We are arriving the day before Value season starts so I booked the room for one night then booked it again for the rest of our trip. They said we might have to change rooms. Has anyone had to change when they have done this. I would hate to have to move all of our luggage. Please let me know your experiences with this. Thanks Michelle

Most likely you wll not have to change rooms if you are in the same resort for your entire stay. It is more difficult and requires additional time to ready a room for a checkin. If you would however have to do it my advice would be just don't unpack for one night.

I did this once, where I had booked a resort for 10 days, but CRO had to break it into 2 ressies. When I checked in, I had shown the CM both ressies and explained why this was done. Never did I have to move.

We have had it both ways, sometimes its no problem and other times we did have to move. The yc made us move, we did 2 ressies cause for the discount it could only do 14 days and we were longer. The poly after checking over and over again so no problem told me that we would have to move "to a smaller room with less of a view" very upset we were staying over 3 weeks and explained the fortune I had paid and really did not want a "smaller less view room!" I told them to think about it and see what they could do, we were going back to our room. Before we got in the door a message had been left that we were welcome to stay in that room! Make yourself clear, check and recheck. I got lucky at poly cause we were out late the nite before rechecking in, and stopped at desk asking if we could do paperwork and be done with it instead of coming back in am, that's when the problem was found. Also if the room controller's are scheding rooms BE sure to call 4 to 5 days before your move to be CERTAIN they are aware of the situation, do not leave it to chance. Yes, there have been times when it was ok, just come and do paper work, but after a certain amount of time in a room, packing and unpacking is no picnic. Good luck, mky:eek:
