Changing rooms at a DVC

I've read quite a bit about regular resort room changes, but I'm curious about DVC. We are planning to rent points for our January 06 trip. For the dates we have planned, at this point (and this could change, we know) we could get BWV 2 bdr standard view for our last 4 nights but not the first night. How much of a hassle would it be to switch rooms?

I'm leary because of not being able to fully settle in and we probably wouldn't be able to purchase groceries until 2nd day, but maybe I'm wrong about the process. Any input would be great.

I hope you are waitlisted for the first night. You are correct that you would basically be just sleeping in the room for the first night, since you can't unpack or buy groceries. While inconvenient, most of us have done this at least once. ;)

Except for the groceries, I don't think it's a hassle at all. Just have bell services take your luggage, you head to a park for the day, come back and check into your new room. You could even hold off on the groceries until you check back in on day 2. Have a service like WEGoShop deliver them at that point.

I would still rather just have one room, but Disney makes switching easy.
