changing resorts

Hello, I just spoke with CM about changing resorts during stay. We are going to OKW then switching to AKL concierge for 2 nights (all on points). My husband is going to the Daytona 500 and I will be on my own with 3 kids for the switch.
The CM said I could get a cab to help me move my stuff or by bus ( I DON'T think so ). I thought Disney would help me move my belongings. This is not true? I was shocked. Any advice or previous experiences? Should I perhaps contact the resort directly?

The morning that you move out of OKW, call the bell service at OKW and have them come to your room and get your bags. Tell them you are moving to AKL. Go do whatever you would do that day, except instead of coming back to OKW go back to AKL. Check in at AKL, and ask bell services at AKL to take your bags to your room. Tip as appropriate. It will take them a while to get the bags there (after 4 I'm guessing, but I'm not sure; they will tell you at OKW when they pick them up). It is really quite painless. No way should you take your luggage on a bus or cab.

Thank you for your reply!!! That is what I thought and I am so relieved. I didn't get too upset when CM told me this because I was sure she was not correct.

I just read on Deb's unofficial website that the Buzz Lightyear's ride will be closed Feb. 9 - 14 th. Good thing we will be there throught the 18th!!
