Changing Resorts

I found out today that my sister got an extra day off so we now have the option of actually enjoying all of our last day and getting a room only for that last night before flying home early in the next morning.

We are staying at POFQ. While they have rooms for our last night, they are kind of expensive just for the room. My DH made a suggestion, that I change resorts and spend that night at AoA as we are taking a family trip next summer and plan on staying here. I have a Little Mermaid room booked (ironically it's opening night for this part of the resort - which I think is totally cool), but have to make a final decision in the next couple of days.

How is it switching resorts? Do you have to take your own baggage? My sister and I are using Disney Transportation and aren't renting a car.

Disney will take care of transferring your luggage! Without any small kids it is no big deal. Pack up in the AM, call bell services and tell them you are transferring resorts, they will tag the bags and send them on to AoA. You go to the park and then back to the new resort. It takes until late afternoon to get your bags but for us it was no problem!
