hi everyone, do you think it's a good idea to switch resorts during your stay? I'm thinking of 4 days coronado springs, 4 days wilderness lodge, 2 days portofino bay hotel, This would be the schedule Wed. -Sat ,Csr going to mgm and ak on thursday and Fri. and have Sat to enjoy the resort, Sun-Wed. WL, going to Epcot and MK Sun. and Monday and having Tues off to enjoy this resort, thurs. and FRi. Portofino bay hotel going to US and Islands of Adventure. Has any of you ever switched resorts? was it to much? They all look so nice It's hard to pick! Any ideas opions appreciated! I'm a planaholic for disney trips this trip isn't until next June so I have plenty of time! Thanks! goofy4mickey48:)

DH and I just returned from our first trip to WDW in 12 years. We were there 11 nights---3 each at Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge and Old Key West and 2 nights Poly conceirge. Moving between resorts was no hassle at all. We had our car so we moved ourselves but CM's were more than willing to move our baggage for us. We checked out early each move morning and drove directly to our new resort----completed check-in process and then headed for the parks. By the time we returned in the early afternoon, our room was always ready. It was a great way to see and experience the different resorts. Transportation from each location was never a problem. We parked the car at time of check-in and never used the car again until time to move to another resort.

For me it has not been a problem to move. I always rent a car so it is easy. We did have Disney move our stuff once and that went fine too. This allows you to experience a nice change of atmosphere in the middle of your vacation. Next trip, i too am going to try Portofino Bay or Royal Pacific.

I have split my stay on several trips, and I really like it. It gives me the chance to try out many different resorts, and it's not a hassle at all.

hi, thanks so much for your replys, now I don't feel so "crazy"! Im going to surprise Dh, he thinks we're just staying at CSR, but last year we looked inside the lobby of WL, my husband loved it there, also the picks of portofino are beautiful and you get front of the line access to rides when you stay at their resorts! thanks again this makes me feel better about my planning! goofy4mickey48:)

I don't find it a problem at all.

Next June we will be staying at 4 different places!

BCV--Vero Beach--Poly--BWV

We like to switch. It makes the vacation seem longer!

I think you should stay at two different resorts. We are doing
that this trip for almost the same reason. We have 5 in our party
so the only moderate is POR - which seems great. I've always
thought the Yacht Club looked super and my children would
enjoy the pool. So I decided to splurge a little and stay there
3 nights. Now I am really looking forward to staying in Disney.:Pinkbounc

Hi, again, sounds like you all have some great vacations planned, If your like me the planning helps so you don't go crazy with the waiting! I've got a while to go yet but at least I know it's in the works!:) hope you all have a magical time! goofy4mickey48

I've never switched resorts during a stay - but I believe that I will next time. Alot of folks seem to do it and like it. I wonder if it's a pain in the rump? Probably not. I think it'll work for me because we can't seem to tear ourselves away from the Beach Club. So every time we say we're going to try another resort...we back out because we think we'll miss the Beach Club. In fact, this May when we went we booked the Grand Floridian and after one night, we switched to the Beach Club. One reason is because of Stormalong Bay. And, the Epcot Resort area is great for us because we love the Boardwalk and World Showcase.

After reading about people on DIS switching during their stay, I'd like to try it and split a YC/BC stay with another resort. I would be great to try different resorts, yet still get to stay at my fave.
