Changing resorts mid-trip?

We're actually staying in 3 different resorts during our trip (all disney). We're coming for 17 nights so it's not as crazy as it sounds. Anyway, I was talking to the cast member while making ADRs and she said "oh, don't worry I'm sure they'll help you move". I hadn't actually considered that...kinda assumed we'd need taxi or something. Has anyone else changed hotels?

You can use bell services to move your luggage from resort to resort... but on our last two trips I have chosen to use Taxi's to transfer resorts. Taxi's are fairly cheap and I have control over my luggage from resort to resort.

Have a Great Trip,

Mark

Thanks Mark. I'm assuming from what you've said that bell services move your luggage while you're out?

I don't wanna loose loads of park time, so if doing it ourselves, would we be better moving mid-morning (when poss less people) or very early?

Hi:

You will have to arrange for Bell Services to move it. On our last trip our Travel Agent suggested we use Bell Services but I chose not to.

What I do is check-out early, between 7:00-7:30AM... grab a cab and head to the new resort... check in (room probably will not be ready).. Bell services will store you luggage if your room is not ready (make sure you have what you will need for the day)... then we head towards the park... both times we were at the park prior to the opening.

We move early to avoid long check-out lines and to ensure that we will be at the new park prior to its opening.

Some cab drivers are better than others... it took several trips before we found a really good one. If you want his name & number please PM me. We ended up using him probably 5 to 6 times during our 9 day stay and he was always prompt, courteous and drove safely. I kept his business card and we plan on using him again this December. On some nights we decided to get back to the resort quicker so we called ahead to arrange for him to meet us at a given time...

Any questions please feel free to ask,

Mark

Moving between resorts is a piece of cake, whether you move yourself, or have bell services do it. For Bell Services: Call them from your room that a.m., they pick up the bags, and they tag them to be moved to your next WDW resort. They should be at the new resort by @ 4:00 p.m. You will check in at the new resort like normal, go to the room, then call downstairs to that bell services to bring up you bags.

Note - you will be without your bags until you get to the new room, so carry any essentials with you meds, rain gear, cash, etc....)

We've done it both ways (have WDW move us and also move ourselves). It is a matter of preference, and what works best for your schedule on the day of the move.

p.s. I have to agree with Mark. When we move ourselves, we do it early a.m. Seems to avoid the longer lines that form at check-in, especially in the early afternoon.
