The wife and I are making the trip down to POFQ on tuesday. Have DME tags and booklet all set. A friend offered us to stay somewhere else on his points. If we change resorts and we put the original tags on how will they get to different resort since there is no time for new tags? Suggestions please?:goodvibes

Last minute change with no time to get new yellow tags ...

Just my suggestion worth not quite two cents.

Draw one line through any incorrect or superceded information (resort name) on the yellow tag and write in the correct or updated information. Do not write through or cross out the bar code.

Not sure whether they do it that way but the most efficient way to handle yellow tagged bags is to whisk them to WDW first and ask questions later.

I would not place the tags on the luggage. Just claim your bags at baggage claim and bring them to the DME spot in the airport.

I do this for evening arrival flights i make to Orlando because the 4 hour wait for bags is just too inconvient for me.

I couldn't imagine how long it would take if they go to the wrong resort first.

DME uses the bar code to determine where the bags go. The resort name is for quick reference, mainly for us. Scratching thru the name will not do what you want it to.

I'm not sure that this would work since (I assume) the OP would be canceling their POFQ reservation but not making a new one since they're staying on a friend's points. I know it would work if they called to change their hotel because the reservation number wouldn't change, so that the correct information would be encoded in the bar code. I'm not sure since I'm not a DVC member, but I think that the friend would have to call DME (or maybe Member Services) to get a DME reservation to the new resort.
