Changing resort booking @7months, 9nights?

Hi!
My travel this year includes 9 nights.. so here the logistics I am not certain and would appreciate please confirmation:

I can book 7 nights at my home resort (AK) in the 11-7months window, then I can add one night at a time..
(a) does this mean I can add one extra night per day? So I will have to do this operation two consecutive days?

then at 7 months I would like to change the resort to a preferred option (Poly)..
(b) Can I modify online the reservation for the new resort?
(c) Can I do it for the 9 nights together?
(d) Do I have to cancel the original booking before searching the Poly?

At exactly 11 months out, you can reserve only 7 nights. You can add nights either on a daily basis (one at a time), or, in your case, you could just wait until two days after making the initial reservation to modify by adding two nights. Or you could just wait until two days beyond your 11-month window to make a nine night reservation .

At exactly 7 months out, you will only be able to book 7 nights at Poly. Thus, you could modify the entire reservation to one for only 7 nights at Poly and then try to add nights daily thereafter; alternatively, you could wait until two days beyond your 7-month window to change the entire reservation to nine nights at Poly. Either of those changes could be attempted online, neither first requires a cancellation, but both have a risk of not getting the nine nights at Poly you want even if all nine nights are actually shown as open at exactly 7 months out..
