Changing resort at 7 months

When changing resorts at the 7 month mark can you modify the reservation online or do you have to call MS? Thanks!

You don't modify your reservation, you cancel and re-book. You can do it online or you can call MS.

I prefer to go with MS as they can sometimes hold the new reservation, before canceling the old one. I would hate to be without either because of the delays in booking. Someone else could get in and get the new reservation while you are canceling the old one. And since we usually want to use the points from the 11 month reservation in the 7 month reservation we can't just book it with other points.
