I know that I have seen this addressed here, but I can't remember the answer...if I make my reservation with DCL then switch it to a TA, how much of the OBC am I likely to get? How much if I switch to Costco? Thanks for your help.
You keep the DCL OBC, but the TA's OBC (if they offer one) will likely be reduced from whatever their OBC would have been if you booked directly through the TA, because their commission is cut.
As I understand it, Costco is not OBC. Rather, it is a Costco credit that you receive after the cruise - I believe I've heard 8-9% of cruise value.
We booked on board and switched to a TA - got the $200 from Disney and our TA offered $300 on top of that Plus she provides limo service from airport to port and custom t shirts for all kids in our party.
We booked a last minute cruise and saw only one room left in the category we wanted. We went ahead and booked directly with DCL and then reached out to our Dreams TA to get it switched to her. The process was simple and very straight forward. We did get a reduced TA OBC but the extra leg work was worth it to us.

Typically the OBC offered by a TA depends on the length of your cruise. I've never booked with Costco but my friends that do often talk about receiving gift cards at Costco.
