Do you think this is going to screw up my reservations??? I need to change:

1900 park fare dinner 6/13 at 7:50pm
princess storybook 6/14 at 10:15 am

Do you think I'll have a hard time?

Usually it only requires a cancellation and re-booking if the change in your party size would change the size of the table you need. As a party of 7 would still probably be seated at an 8-top anyway, I don't think you'll have any problem with the change.

FWIW, I had a hard time changing a CRT reservation from 6 to 5. The CM said I'd booked a table for 6, a tablefor 5 was something different. I could cancel the whole thing, but not just one person.

I (politely but insistantly) said that I had been told I could cancel within 48 hours. I was not told it had to be an all or nothing thing. She put me on hold and did come back to say she'd had a manager approve it.

We got to CRT and were given a table for five. (It could not have seated 6 because it had to be against a rail for the table next to it to fit...)

the odds are against you for picking a specific time; your odds will increase if you have flexibility around the time of day.

I would leave the ADRs alone. If you call and try to take one person off it will mess everything up. If you just show up at the podium and say you have 7 instead of 8 the restaurant won't care. Use the extra chair to hold your bags. :rotfl2:

Exactly ... I've ended up having to do something similar several times in the past and reception at the restaurant never even blinked. Just say you lost one :0)

I too would opt for jus saying "sorry, there's only 7 of us tonight" if you feel the need you can say one person was sick, but there really should be no need for that.

Yeah!!!! DONT TOUCH YOUR RESERVATIONS!!!!!!!! Leave them and just say "sorry we are less one person tonight." We have done this a hundred times. They have NEVER had a problem with it, EVER!!!!!!!! They use the same table size for 7 or 8 anyway. I just wouldn't chance it.

I agree with not changing anything. The only time I might be concerned is if you have booked a place like California Grill which requires a credit card deposit. But even then I don't think it would be a problem.
