Changing names on bookings!

Hello!

Seeing as you lot have been really helpful so far I just have another question :)

Due to the nature of OH's job he wants to wait a couple of months before booking our Feb 2013 trip whereas I want to book it now because as we are a family of five, we will need as long as possible to save up!

So I just wondered, IIRC when you book through the DLP website you enter the adult's names? Is that right? It was only a few months ago that I did it and have done it loads of times but I can't remember properly :rolleyes1 If I were to put his name on the booking and he couldn't come for some reason, would I be able to change it?

The plan is - thanks to you guys - that I will book one room for a 15 year old and one free child and another room for my OH and the other free child and then I'm going to buy an AP and pay room tax so I don't really want the room to be in my name.

Thank you in advance!

I think you have to pay a supplement if you only have 1 adult in a room so may not save you much anyway if you book your 15yr old with a free child :confused3

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to book just your 15-year old in with a free child, as even though you pay adult price for the 15-year old, she's not an adult so she can't be the "adult" on the booking.

Also, if your OH can't come you don't need 2 rooms at all, you'd all fit in one room. So I'd wait until your OH knows if he can come or not. If not, you can book yourself and the free kids in the one room, buy your AP in your name, add your 15-year old to the room when you get there, and give her the adult park tickets you get with the room booking.

Sorry Elaine, I explained myself really badly!!

I was working off the principle of what you told me before on another thread, so yeah, I know I said it all wrong so scratch that. Doh!

thats not going to work for you thephoo, because you need to book 2 rooms. So you need one adult (plus free children) in each room. So you'd only want to buy one annual pass, as your 15 year old isn't free and so you buy an annual pass for one adult (as she is over 12) in any name you like (so yours or your OH). Both adults, and both the free children, will have duration of stay park tickets, so you can give one of adult set of park tickets to your 15-year old, and the other adult has the annual pass, if you see what I mean?. Then when you arrive at your hotel you can add the 15-year old to whichever of the 2 rooms you like, without park tickets needed.

I am still planning on acting on what you told me here ^^

If the OH can't come I won't be able to take his children at all but I probably would be able to find somebody else to travel with me so basically what I'm asking is if I would be able to amend the booking and change the name of the adult in the room?

I'm still a bit lost to be honest - do you mean you'd still want to book 2 rooms even if your OH and his children don't go to DLP with you?
