Changing names for rooms at check-in when BB was booked.

I asked this question in another thread, but thought I would put it out here too. If DH and I each book a room (2 rooms in total) under a Bounceback. I understand we will each be in a different room for Disney's purposes, but that they don't really care who sleeps in what room. We may do this (if a BB is available when we go in Oct.), but the second room would be for another family. Is there a way, at the time we check in to the resort, to put DH back into our room and out of the other room? I would like to make sure his KTTW card can have charging ability to our room, his card can unlock our door and not get any dining credits confused as we won't always be eating with the other family. Is this possible?

You cannot change a lead person's name on a reservation. They would have to void out the entire reservation and start all over again.

They do not care who sleeps in what room, they always list us and our children in age order and then they sleep wherever as long as we don't exceed 4 per room LOL

But I agree with the previous poster, if you're looking to move him back to your room for charging and such, it'll cause a problem since he'll be the main name on the reservation. Can you not make the reservation in your friends name?

If you are going to be with him 24/7 though, you can just use your card when you're out. Oh and don't forget to make the reservations under 2 different reservation numbers, that way if your friends have to cancel it doesn't cancel your room. If you tie your credit card to your reservation for charging it'll be for both rooms on one reservation too, so you don't want your friends to have charging privileges on your credit card LOL

Thanks for the replies. It is my understanding (but please correct me if I am wrong), that when we book using a bounceback we will not be able to put the second room in my friend's name (at least that is what I have read once I was able to get the search to work for me). This may all be for naught as there may not be a bounceback offered when we go, but wanted to have all my ducks in a row in case we can book a bounceback. Thanks again, you've both been helpful.:)

The lead person on the reservation must be present during the current trip in order to take advantage of the BounceBack offer.

If you want to use the BB offer, you will need to each be listed in a separate room. The PPs are right, Disney doesn't care where you actually sleep... so I'd just use a separate credit card and not use the KTTW charging.
