I have a question....

Currently my mother has me down as an associate on her DVC contract. She will be paid up on one contract in February when she wants to change the names on the deed and add me on it. I am an only child so my children will be who the deed is left to if something would happened to my mom and myself.

I am married and we have a trust set up for our financials. My question is if I do not put my husband name on the deed. Can he still qualify for the annual passholder discounts since we still live in the same house? Is there any discounts or real reasons that I should include my husband on the deed other than we are married? He doesn't care if he is on it one way or another so that is why I am asking the questions.

Immediate family members that reside in the same residence as a member are eligible for member pricing on passes. The member must be present at the time of purchase (or activation) and show his/her blue member id card and all adults (ages 18+) must show a photo id with the same address as the eligible member.

For other discounts (dining/merchandise/etc), the policy is that the member needs to show his/her blue member id card and photo id and the member is supposed to be the one that pays. Some CMs are strict on this policy, others not so much.

Thank You Erionm. I appreciate it. He is always with me so that wouldn't affect him too much.

Remember if they change one and not the other they become separate master contracts so if they're not separate now and not larger contracts, that'll be an issue. I'm not sure if you can have a trust AND an individual as co owners but that might be worth checking out. Why not pay them all off and then deal with them at one time?
