Ok, does anyone know whether you can change your travel insurance for your holiday?? The reason I ask is when I went to book my holiday at the travel agents I was going to use Virgins travel insurance as I was going with them for my holiday however the lady at the travel agent put me down for their insurance as she said that they were doing an offer on it that day and it would only cost £25 for the two of us as opposed to £115 which it normally would have been and me being quite naive having never booked a holiday abroad or even been abroad didn't object as I though it sounded pretty good. However when I read through the policy when I got home I noticed it only gives medical cover for £1 million each and I heard that you should have at least £2 million. So can I change my insurance as my holiday is not till December and the other question is should I change it or stick with that travel insurance.
Thanks
Thanks
Its an underwriter who you take out the insurance with. We were due to go September last year but because of the hurricanea we were unable to fly. Virgin themselfs gave us our money back with no problems but part of the holiday was a flydrive and we had booked a private villa. It took several letters and numerous phone calls to the underwriters to get our money back as they said we were not covered for this. Eventually after 3 months we got the money back.
