changing hotels

My trip in 2003 will be at least 10 nights long, since gymnastics world championships are 9 days long, and I will arrive the day before they start and leave the day after. I would like to stay onsite at Disneyland Resort, and I am thinking about trying out each of the 3 different hotels.

Would I have to check out and then back in at the individual hotels?

Will they transfer my luggage to my new room for me as they do at WDW?
