Have you already scheduled any FP+ on your MBs? I've heard varying reports about when you cancel your hotel they cancel the FP+....but those were from "the early days of FP+"....so I'd be curious if that is still an issue. I'm thinking not since now off-site people can use FP+, right?

If you booked FastPasses and you're inside the 60 day window for resort guests, but not inside the 30 day window for off site guests, and you cancel your on-site reservation, you'll lose your FastPasses. You get the current day as a grace period, so the only way to do this and keep your fastpasses would be do cancel the on-site reservation at 31 days out. When the system rolls over at the end of the day, you should be safe. I don't want to be the one to test this, though.
What I don't know is if they will now charge you for the MagicBands, since those are only free for resort guests.
I have not cancelled anything yet. If I do, I was going to wait until I am in the 30 day period as to not lose our FP res..
I have a room only so I have up to 5 days before check in to cancel. FP+ should be safe
