Changing from Dolphin to YC

I booked Dolphin via Disney. I have never received a confirmation of my deposit and other folks are having IT issues (ADR, reservation dropping from MDE, and LL). I am thinking of changing to YC.

I must call to cancel/modify as stated on MDE. Assuming Disney shows my deposit, would I be able to transfer that deposit to my YC deposit, or would I only be able to get a refund on the Dolphin for the deposit?

I've never booked a non-Disney hotel via Disney and then had to cancel, so this is speculation; but I'd think if you booked via Disney (assuming they show the deposit), you would be able to redirect it.

Yes! We were booked at the Dolphin via the Disney site. It takes longer for the Swan/Dolphin reservation to appear on your MDE app. If you call Disney reservations, you can have them transfer your deposit over to the YC. We switched to the BC from the Dolphin last September.
