changing dinner reservations from 5 to 6

I need to add 1 more for a couple of our ADR's, would they accomodate us or do i need to phone and rebook my ADR. I heard that 5 people are actually seated at a table for 6. also, if worst comes to worst, and the table actually only seated 5, could my DD4 sit on my lap?

You should call and get the reservation changed to six people. It's true that in most cases, you would be seated as if there were six in the party but there are cases where that wouldn't be true. And your four year old probably wouldn't want to sit in your lap for an entire meal.

The way I view changing a party size for a Disney dining reservation is the same way I look at accepting an invitation for a dinner party. If someone said they were coming with five and showed up with six, how would the host feel?
