changing dining reservations

Hello everyone,
So because my long planned trip for 3 just recently became a solo trip I need to adjust my dining reservations because those are obviously made for 3.
I already checked online in the "my Disney account" and I was able to change my thanksgiving dinner at storytellers to 1 person but I can't change/modify my other reservations only cancel them.
As far as I recall from reading here you don't have to change a reservation for the F! BB dining package. As long as at least 1 person shows up you don't have to pay the $10 "no-show" fee. Is that right? So, I can just leave the reservation untouched and say at the counter I am just one person?

What about the WOC dessert party? The show I reserved the party for is booked up and the other date I was considering just got booked up as well (yes I know, dumb not to book it right away). Now I am a bit afraid of cancelling the dessert party for 3 and not being able to rebook it for 1 person. But I guess I have no choice if I want my already paid money back...right?

My observation (from my account) is that dining reservations can be changed/cancelled online. But for special dining events (Fantasmic, WOC) it only gives an option to cancel online.

I would just call the dining line and go that route. It's best to call right when they open in the AM unless you don't mind waiting. You definitely want to adjust the WOC desert party because you paid upfront, correct?

Ok... after all, I was able to secure the WOC dessert party on my preferred day (not that I didn't start to replan everything else just to make a WOC dessert party on yet another day work)... I think the IT is again just a little glitchy. (it now says that cancelations of one of my BB F! packages would be currently unavailable....)

So, now only my question about the F! BB package remains... Do I have to call to modify my existing reservation to 1 person or can I simply leave it like it is and just show up alone... ( I'd like to avoid calling to be honest)

As long as at least one person shows up for a reservation, there is no penalty fee applied. You don't need to cancel or modify if you will be using the reservation. But, you can stop by the restaurant earlier that day to let them know you are now a party of 1 so that they can arrange the seating accordingly.
