Changing decks/Category 10

Hi all

I have read all of these threads about people being waitlisted for different categories. Can you be waitlisted for a different deck but same category? We are booked in a cat 10 on deck 7 but I would LOVE to be on deck 5. Can I get waitlisted to switch? I don't want to spend more money or anything, just cat 10 on differnet deck.

just asking because I was going to give you a way to check available cabins in Category 10 for your sail date
Go to www.cruise-locator.com and go to online booking follow the directions and you will be able to check available cabins for your sail date. If you have problems, send me an email back at vichall@aeroinc.com with your sailing day and I will check for you, on available deck five cabins:>

Thanks VicnMinnie....I know that there are not any deck5/cat10's available right now but I was hoping I could be waitlisted to get one if somebody backs out. I hear that around the 60 day mark your chances increase of cancellations and stuff. I just didn't know if they do a waitlist for this or only for category upgrades.

By the way, cruising 9/22/02 4 day

Tryed the link today and it worked just fine. Only deck 2 is available and I am definitely happier with my deck 7/cat 10. I guess I could just check this periodically and if I see a deck 5 call my TA right away. The wait list idea sounds better to me though so I may call DCL and find out if it is possible.

Just wanted to let you all know that I called DCL and they said they could waitlist for same category different deck.. Called my TA at AAA and she had to call 4 times to DCL to get someone to go ahead and do this. The other times she was told no waitlist for same category. You just have to keep calling until you get the answer you want. Silly isn't it that there are all these different answers for the same question.

Anyway, I'm not holding my breath for a deck 5 but at least I feel like I have done all I can to try and get a "porthole" room. Anyone else with tips, let me know.
