I am booked for September 2008 and I can't decide if I should change to January 2009 so we can be there for mine and DD birthday? I booked September for free dining.

On the other hand I don't think my DD will be to happy if she can't use the pool if it is to cold in January. we are staying at Beach Club so it would be a shame if we don't get use out of the pool. If we go in January it will also be a long wait till we go.

Is it worth changing just to have our birthdays there?

Difficult to advise Claire, personally I wouldn't want to go in January.
Whilst mainly for Joshua's benefit we don't like it too hot I certainly wouldn't want it on the cool side.

I would leave it but that's just my opinion.

I love being in WDW for my birthday, so I would change.
This september, once the heat index had benn added the temp was 110, in Jan the temp will have highs of 70 during the day, but can get to 34 at night. I have worn shorts and used the pool, as they are heated, but always need to change for thr evenings.
The parks are a lot quiter and hotel / flights cheaper. You will be able to wear your birthday badge and have a cake made. (I know people do this when it is not really there birthday, but I don't) and its nice to have CM saying happy birthday to you all day, some time you get extra perks, like a small cup cake with a candle, extra fast passes, phone calls from Mickey ect.
If you want it really hot go sept, if you just want it hotter than the UK temp then Jan is a great time to go.

We always go January / February time. I am not a lover of the blistering heat so the temperature is fantastic for us this time of year. We can get round more because we are sticky and hot and don't have to keep dashing into shops for the air con. Another plus of going this time of year is the crowds tend to be a lot less.

It really does depend on your preferences, we are all different :)

If you still wanted to go in September you could be like the Queen and both have 2 birthdays!! Pick up your birthday buttons and who is to know it isn't your birthday :goodvibes

I would prefer to go in September as i prefer hot weather where you can swim and go to the waterparks .

Hi, thanks for the advice, we went this September and my DD coped really well with the heat and it did reach the high 90s so the heat is not a big worry. We have decided to stick to September and celebrate are birthday at Disney in 2010. I will have graduated uni by then so don't have to worry about missing work.
