We are booked to go to DC in 29 days. When I was doing my sums today I really feel we can't afford to do it as we have a lot of bills to still pay for the house which has run over budget. Also youngest decided she didn't want to do it as she isn't a good enough swimmer and the water is too deep!!!!! had I been on the ball a few days ago I would have been able to cancel as it was outwith 30 days now if I cancel I will lose half. If I phoned and changed my day for a couple of days later could I then go online and cancel it. I don't like to disappoint the girls but I really don't have the money and we have enough debt without adding another £750 to it. Do you think this would be possible.

Unfortunately, I don't think this would work. You could try to schedule at a time overlapping with a hurricane event. :confused3 I'm afraid that our trip in another week and 1/2 might be ruined by one-- Hanna is looking scary.

Decided that this was booked before the cost became an issue. Only an issue as we were building a house and it ran over budget due to husband injuring himself and was unable to do the last of the work himself.
Now that we are definately going I wil be gutted if we get put off by the weather. Keep forgetting about hurricane season as we used to go at the start of the season . Been caught out a few times then by the weather but not in recent years as we now go later in the year.

We had booked, but I cancelled due to the expense. Did you apply any of the discounts? The one that supports the reef would at least lower the cost a bit. I saw where some were able to get the lower price applied to current reservations. Hope it all works out :) .
