I'm facing a bit of a conundrum at the moment and since four phone calls to WDW resulted in four different answers, I thought I'd ask the DIS experts here!
Our next visit to WDW is in December. We'll be checking in at BLT on 12/2 and checking out on 12/10. The credit card that I currently have on file expires 11/16 and because of that, I wasn't able to complete our online check-in at the 60-day mark. That, in and of itself, isn't a huge deal as I'll phone them to let them know of our early arrival and room requests.
Now, onto the bigger issue. Our spring trip is June 1-June 10. Our 180-day ADR window opens on December 1st. That means I'll be booking our ADRs prior to leaving for our December trip but won't have a valid credit card on file to do so (remember, the one on file now expires next month).
If I were to go in now and change the credit card that I have on file, will I lose all of the ADRs that I made for our December trip? I had one CM tell me "yes, absolutely", another tell me "I don't know. It's a risk you'll have to take." Another one said she spoke with a dining CM who has 18 years of experience and said "You won't lose them."
So, does anyone know the correct answer? If I were to change my credit card now, will my December ADRs become null and void?
