Just wondering if you can put in a request for a different cabin once one has been assigned. We are very unhappy with our stateroom assignment for the repo cruise, especially when they told us when we booked that we might get an upgrade. We are on deck one (cat. 9).Anyone stayed on deck 1 before? We were cat. 9 on deck 2 last time which was okay, just kind of noisy at night (the ship engine was quite loud). I have also heard that if you are on deck one you get two tiny port holes instead of one big one, is this true?? I really don't want to be stuck in a crummy room for two weeks!

The best way to guarantee that you get the room you want it to purchase the room/category that you want.

I wouldn't count on an upgrade for the repo cruise..there weren't any on ours. Some people did have to get moved to new rooms on our cruise...but that was because of problems in the room.

Belle2002 - I 've noticed that if you go to the Disnsy cruise website and act as if you are making a new reservation, it will now show you which Cat 9 rooms are still available when you get to the window that gives you the option to choose your specific stateroom. I just checked and there were 3 cat 9's availabe on deck 2. I would look at those and see if there is one you would prefer and then call Disney and ask them to switch you. Probably do it as quickly as you can before they are gone. Good luck!

I am also on the repo and I have stayed on Deck 1 a few times....yes it is true that there are two smaller portholes instead of one large porthole but the room was far frm "crummy"....it is exactly the same room as Deck 2 other than the porthole. We did not find any more noise on Deck 1 than we have had on any other decks....actually our deck 5 aft room was the noisest we ever had.

I don't know who told you when you booked that an upgrade was probable....no upgrades are probable and they steered you wrong. Upgrades are hit or miss....

I monitor the DCL website for availability all the time and Cat 9's do open up from time to time, I would keep calling DCL and ask every day if you have to if any Cat 9's on Deck 2 are available.....but really, I would take a Cat 9 on deck 1 with two small portholes over a Cat 9 on Deck 2 that may be under the clubs....

What cabin did you get.....we are 2546.

Good luck.

Hey We did cat 11 inside, for 2 weeks deck 2 is not that much better IMO..

If you booked gty, they will move you only if there is a problem with something in the room. That's the downside to a gty room. Of course, you can always call and ask.
