Well, that's a change. Time was excursions weren't charge to your onboard account until you actually took them. Then it changed so they were all charged the first night of the cruise.

This is what is currently on the DCL Port Adventures website: You may cancel your Port Adventure booking up to 3 days prior to the cruise departure date. After that time, all reservations are final and non-refundable. All prices are subject to change without notice.
While true there is nothing charged until you are onboard, there is a deadline for cancellations 3-day before embarkation. It’s possible an onboard cancellation can result in a charge unless someone else has requested to waitlist and they take your spot. This has been true for years.
I've cancelled and rebooked activities in the app a bunch of times for this reason. If you are in the app ready to rebook the second you drop it the odds of it selling out to someone else before you can rebook it are next to zero.
I’m in the same situation. Hate to cancel in case we lose it… I was wondering what would happen if I called in. Do they cancel/rebook or can they just directly change it?
I was able to modify my reservation for the Royal Tea by calling DCL and working with the Website Resolutions team. I only waited about 20 min for the first CM who recognized I needed the Website Resolutions team. He then put in a call to that team and the wait time was 2.5 hours. But, they were able to make the change and I didn’t lose my reservation!!
I just worked around the house while listening to Disney hold music.
