Changing already booked reservations

At the moment My daughter and I are Booked at the POP from 10/28 thru 11/3. We have the Magic your way with Deluxe dining plan all paid full price for booked through disneys website, and paid in full. We are Traveling with My cousin, her mother, and my cousins 2 kids, they have their own room. If I were to make changes, I would need to get my cousin on board.

I am wondering if I decided that we wanted to change our reservations from the POP to 2 rooms at AOA in the Little mermaid suites would that be possible? Would I just call Disney and have them switch us?

I am also suspecting that there may be a free dining package available for those days coming up in the near future since we are going during the school term, so hopefully low crowd volumes. If this does happen do I just call them again and ask for the free dining offer? will they allow me to get the deluxe dining plan for an additional charge?

If you cannot tell we are Disney world newbies

Any additional tips for saving money and making this a trip that a 7 year old and ( 2) 6 year olds will remember?

If you decide to change resorts, all you would have to do is call Disney and ask them to check availability. If AoA is available for your dates, the CM can easily modify your reservation and the price will be adjusted accordingly. If free dining comes out for your dates, you can have that added to your reservation only if there is availability under that promo. Since you have the deluxe DDP, you would pay the difference between the cost of that plan and the one that's offered for free. With all of that said, Disney releases discounts to fill rooms and not all resorts and room types are available under these discounts. If there are no rooms available at AoA (or POP if you stick with that), then you would not be able to get free dining. Sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort/room type to take advantage of a discount. Good luck and happy planning .
