Changing ADR party size (decreasing)

What is the best way to change ADR size, part of our group isn't coming at all now. I made the reservations for 12, and will only have 8 now. So it "could" allow another family to get a reservation or another group to add unexpected guests. I didn't see a way to change party size on the my disney app, only cancel. Did I miss it or Do I need to call in to make changes?

You have to call. Or you could cancel the entire reservation and then try to book for the smaller group, but you risk losing the whole thing.

You will need to call. There's no way to change the number of people online. When you call make sure the CM understands you just want to modify the reservation and not cancel it.

I ahd the same question except ours is reduced by just one.... should I call to let them know,and risk a supreme 'messup' in my reservations (it's happened enough that I am wary of making any changes if I don't have to) or just leave as is...we are going from 6 down to 5 peeps.....

I would probably leave it until you check in for your reservation. I'm also nervous (haven't called yet) about changing our reservation and having it get cancelled instead....

I would leave it alone and just let the CMs at the check in podium know that there will only be 5 of you. Most likely a party of 5 would be seated at a 6 top so you wouldn't be changing table size.
