I booked a last minute trip to take our oldest DS for a few nights in December. I booked a room only and added tickets separately via UT. However, I am still hoping for a better room option than what was available and wanted to know how easy it would be to change online if something opened up. Thanks.

As a serious resort changer, I can say it's fairly easy. Sometime you can hit the "modify" button and change. SOMetimes that doesnt seem to work, and I end up rebooking and cancelling the first. Sometimes when modify doesn't work, I call and have them change it. You can do this up to 5 days before check in. I have an AP so I am always looking for a good bargain. We ended up having to add a day on at the front our december reservation. I have one night at All star sports at rack originally (all that there was), changed to all star movies with the holiday discount, then changed to Saratoga Springs studio with AP discount, and then most recently just changed to Boardwalk Inn standard. Pretty sure I'm set now, ha ha.

I should add that all this only applies if you originally booked through Disney. If you booked with a TA or third party you can not change it online, they have to change it for you.

Perfect. I keep checking online to see if something opens up. I did book myself which we usually do to make it easier to change it all. Thanks so much for the advice.
