changing a reservation involving reg and borrowed points

Those who have dealt with this situation, please help me understand how MS handles cancellations involving both regular and borrowed points. As an example: I made day-by-day reservations for two separate units for five days. I had to borrow points for the last two days in each villa. Now it appears that the people in the other reservation are not going, so I need to cancel one of the reservations entirely (or possibly rent the reservation, which is why I am asking this question.)

Obviously I can't restore the borrowed points, but I would like to use the borrowed points for four days of the remaining reservation. Would MS let me do that, or would they have some issue and require very literally cancelling three days worth of regular points and cancelling two days of borrowed points?

All it takes is a phone call to MS and ask them if you can do it.

MS has reallocated points for us in the past. I think they will be able to do this for you. Good luck.

This situation does not require you to cancel the reservation you will keep prior to using the banked points for the reservation you will cancel. As jekjones1558 states MS will reallocate your points, this can easily be taken care of for you.
