Changing a Magical Express reservation

Here's the situation. We have our DVC ressie for Jan. 28 leaving LaGuardia on a 3:30 flight. I now found out that we have the day off from school. I now have the chance to change our Delta reservation to an earlier flight. I won't be able to do this until that morning, three hours before the flight I want. That will mean that I won't be able to contact MS until that morning. Does anyone know if we can take the chance with the earlier flight and just show up at the ME counter and get the transportation? We have the tags for our luggage with the original Delta flight numbers. I really would like to spend more time at WDW rather than leave later in the day and get to Orlando at 6:30 PM. Thanks!

Yes, I believe that you can. They really take the reservations so that they can plan how many buses for the resorts so the waits are not long.

They also know that flights get changed or delayed all the time so I am sure they plan for changes in the schedules.

We had a situation where our flight was cancelled (did not find out until we got to the gate!) so we had to get back to WDW (thankfully we had enough points to extend a couple of nights until we could get a flight home - "We are not staying because we want to, but because we HAVE to," I joked as we all played forced hooky in the parks!).

ME had no problem getting us on a bus. In fact, if you show up at their desk I bet they would take care of you regardless (so long as you could show you had a WDW resort reservation). Of course if it were crazy busy you might have to wait!

But have no fear. I would check my own bags if I were you just in case (if the flight happened to have no other ME on it, they could potentially miss the tags, although I bet they watch for them!). When in MCO, go to the desk - be prepared to maybe wait, but chances are you'll have no problems.

Thanks for your information. I am hoping that ME won't have a problem with our change of plans if, in fact, it does happen. Will post when we return from our vacation!

You'll be fine, as long as your Magical Express reservation for the same day. A good percentage of people arriving dont' arrive during their specified time, especially during the winter due to storm delays.
