changing a discounted room

Has anyone change their room type or added a room with a code that has expired? We booked our room with a code and now I am thinking of upgrading our room or downgrading it to get 2 standard rooms. Will I be able to get the discounted price? I am driving myself crazy here.

we moved from POR to POFQ once we were actually on our vacation, that was with an AP code. I didn't like POR but wasn't sure if we would be able to move at the same rate, but we had no problems. I don;t know if it helped that they are sister resorts

I had a room booked for Sept with a discount code, and called to see about upgrading to a moderate, and the CM said I could do that, even though the code was expired, since I was going up not down.

I changed things around with a code that had expired three days before. I asked them and they said it was fine.

I changed from POP to AKL with code BDP after time had run out to use it.
