Changes will be coming!!

Ohhhhh, please, please, please, please, please let them put in new rides or at least duplicates. I have long wished for a different version of the TSMM ride like using some of the games featured in Wreck it Ralph. Even if they just plain duplicated TSMM on the opposite end of the park it would be a great help. Same thing for Soarin'. Just make a duplicate like they did with the Dumbos. Then, they wouldn't even have to tier.

New rides pleeeeaaaase!!!

Meh, I appreciate that you are upfront about the fact that you think this is a reputable source, and that you don't have details, and the fact that you aren't sure of his title.

I mean, you aren't coming in here with "facts" and saying this is going to be that etc ...

I am sure there are changes coming, I just wish I hadn't locked into my trip for May before they made all the changes that I currently don't like, and the trip will be over before the changes I am sure they will make that will hopefully make me like the system a little more :(

I have a feeling that I am just tossing a good part of my 6 or 7 thousand dollars out the window ...

I told him that I didn't like the way it is now and want to visit again, but not until things change. He said it's going to be great. We shall see!!

Don't get me wrong - I want to believe, I truly do. But, frankly, I wouldn't expect this Disney bigwig to say "Well, we screwed up and don't know what to do about it" or "We'd like to make changes, but honestly don't know how to straighten out this mess."

So, of course, he's going to spout the company line - "Don't worry, trust us, changes are coming and they will be amazing!"

After the mess they've created, forgive me if I don't put a lot of creedence into anything Disney says at this point.

IMO, the only thing that will truly have a major effect on the crowds, long lines, and horrendous waits for rides is if Disney undertakes to add major new attractions to the parks, particularly to HS, Epcot and AK. And this is an undertaking that will take months, if not years, to bring to fruition. Look how long it's taken them to open one major ride - Mine Train!!!!

Anything else they try to do to remedy things is just shifting the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I agree. I'm 64 so I hope things get better before I get too old!!!

I was talking to a friend whose son-in-law is a bigwig in Disney and he said there will be a lot of changes that will be awesome!! That's all he said he was allowed to tell me. He just said to be patient. I hope he's right!! I don't want to start a debate, but just thought I'd let people that aren't happy with the way things are now, that they will be changing.

Thanks for sharing, disnut1149! A few questions for you, if you can. First of all, what was your feeling about what kind of changes he was referring to - I don't mean what you think the specific changes might be. But, maybe depending on the conversation at the moment when he shared that changes were coming and that guests would think they were awesome, what was your gut feeling on what he was referring to, FP+ and the problems we've seen with that? Or something else maybe? And any indication at all when we might see these changes, sooner rather than later?

The guesses here have been varied, from FP+ to a new park. My feeling after reading your OP, was that you were referring to changes with FP+ and that they weren't too far off, (maybe summer?). So, I thought I'd get your thoughts/guesses, if you don't mind sharing them.

I know what bar he likes to go to. Thought DH and I could go there, buy him a lot of beers and get him to talk!!

Now there's a good plan! And then when you share with us, we promise to keep it on the down low and not tell anyone else! ;)

Ah, I'm in my mid fifties, (shhh, don't tell anyone! :ssst: ), and I think like this too, lol! Glad I'm not the only one! I want the new things now, lol, afraid I might miss some of the new things if they come too many years into the future, lol! ::yes::

150 days is just excessive. 60 days is already too far ahead for me because day of your visit a ride could be broken, it could rain, etc. Too many unknown factors to plan for two months early. But 150 days?? Park hours change, rides go down for refurbishment, hurricanes come through. And to have so much time between on site, S & D, and off-site people? I love planning, but not like this.

I agree and don't think 150 days would be a great perk for onsite at all. And, could hurt those with the 60 and 30 day times. And, I could see people who already are upset with the 60 day booking time as being too far out to be planning so early, really not like having to choose rides/days 5 months out! Seems a bit ridiculous and even restrictive or confining(not thinking of my exact word, but along those lines). 60 days is much more reasonable, IMO.

Ditto. Unfortunately, for those of us going soon (trips that were planned last year) seems the mess is not going anywhere. I can appreciate them trying to improve. I would hope so, but ticket and parking increases???
