Can't see what's terrible about it...I like that Maelstrom has been moved.

I'm happy that Maelstrom has been moved to Tier 2, but not happy that Living with the Land and the Great Movie Ride have been moved to Tier 1.

I love Living With The Land, but I'm confused - I guess they wanted to keep a 'calm' ride in T1 for people who don't like speed, heights, or fireworks?

Seriously? Living with the Land and the Great Movie Ride are Tier 1? Huh? :confused3

They're great rides, don't get me wrong. But Tier 1, as in so-popular-you-can-only-pick-1-of-these-a-day Tier 1???

Whoever assigns rides to these categories over at Disney is eating the wrong kind of brownies... :rolleyes1

In parks with few extra popular headliner rides they put the strangest things in Tier One just to have something there.

Land and Movie Ride do have higher capacities than the rides they "replaced" - maybe that's it.

I like the Land and Great Movie Ride but it would have never occurred to me to use FP for Movie Ride at all, and I used them for Land because there wasn't anything more interesting available. Maelstrom is OK to use it for.

At least they didn't move Tower of Terror to first tier.

DHS makes sense...added a high-capacity ride to Tier 1.

Epcot makes no sense to me. I mean, I'm glad they moved Maelstrom out of Tier 1. I guess they expanded capacity, but it just looks weirder.

Agreed about ToT!

Funny thing is that LWTL didn't have nearly the wait that Maelstrom did that day we were there. M was up to 50 min.

Suddenly I feel more like cattle being prodded than I ever did before at WDW.

It's like reverse psychology.
"Call it a Tier1 and maybe the new people won't notice it's stupid!"

"Great Movie Ride (originally Tier 2)"

Tier 1!?!?!? So, does that mean they are NOT gonna tear it down? I'm sure others will feel differently, but this is the worst attraction in all of WDW IMO.

I think that is exactly it. Especially for newbies to Disney. The Tier 1 become the "forbidden fruit" that everyone wants because they think they want all Tier 1 attractions. I like this approach. It reduces demand on the other Tier 1 attractions that I want to do.

Well, the last couple times I've been to Epcot, LWTL had a line (non-existent in the past during "slow" times). Maybe moving it to tier 1 will eliminate the longer lines? Or maybe, as some suggest, it will fool some people into thinking its bigger than it is :confused3?

I have accepted the fact that they can do what they want to do, and it won't stop me from going, but this is down right dumb. Whatever though, I am sure there will be at least three or four more dumb changes before our next trip November 2015. Pity those who went to Disney 4 years ago and figure they don't have to do any research, they did enough back then. LOL

I think this will make me buy hoppers and do rope drop only at DHS then head somewhere else with more fastpass options
