New Magic Kingdom bus parking zones being added for Art of Animation Resort and monorail backup

Oct 21, 2011

The Magic Kingdom bus load zones are about to undergo a major overhaul as new load zones are added for Disney's Art of Animation Resort. At the same time, new zones will be added to allow the Park to Park busses for Animal Kingdom and the Studios to go via the Magic Kingdom instead of the TTC. New zones will also service the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts, the Magic Kingdom to TTC, and Magic Kingdom to Epcot. These load zones will provide bus backup routes for times when the monorail is unavailable or running over capacity.

Head to the photos below for a look at the preliminary site preparation. Construction work should begin soon.

Really cool! This also answers everyones question whether AoA will have their own bus route or be sharing with POP...really excellent news!

Only for MK, at this point. And resorts can still be combined during slow times of the day; Epcot & DHS both have separate load zones for all of the All Stars, but they're only used during park exit.

Not really. All of the All Stars have their own bus stops at the parks too, but they obviously still do a lot of sharing, especially going to a park. I really can't imagine that Pop and AOA would really not share at least going to the parks (they're just so close- even the deluxe's share going to the parks,) but maybe.
