Well it seems that you are all very keen to keep us busy :goodvibes which is exactly how we want it.

Although we mods will operate seemlessly together we will try to deal with different bits of the board, so you know who to gently remind if they are falling asleep :faint:

Now we also want your input as to some of the proposed changes.

Regarding stickies the thinking is that the multi-media one is not the most used and therefore a useful information one with links in; just like the Hotel FAQ would be of better use. What do you think?

Both the Hotel Cheyenne and Davy Crockett Ranch require a link in the Hotel FAQ. Would be happy if anyone wanted to volunteer for either or both of these. If not we will add it on to the things to do list :teeth:

Karen has agreed that we'll reasign the "When are you going" thread to one of the mods just to keep the continuity.

We've got another few ideas and surprises but would like to hear ideas from yourseves. As well as keep the thrill and suspense going for a bit longer :hyper:

What needs to be done with the Cheyenne? If I can help I'd be more than happy.

The hotel FAQ can be found here
If you start a thread headed up "The Hotel Cheyenne FAQ & Information Thread" we can link it into the sticky so it will always be at the top.

Thanks for offering :)

Ahhh, I see - I get to talk about the Cheyenne lots - sounds right up my street!

Steve,
Looking forward to your Hotel Cheyenne link in Hotel FAQ, as that's where we're staying in March, 2006. You must be something of a Cheyenne expert having stayed there 4 times. ::MickeyMo

Frankly, I was just going to ask Steve's wife to put a large sticky on his forehead labelled 'Hotel Cheyenne FAQ's' and leave it at that! :teeth:

Can't disagree with you there ;)

That tickled both Denise and I - I'm going to hide the Post-It notes, I know what she's like!

How about including the offsite hotels in the hotels FAQ section. By offsite I mean the Holiday Inn, Kyriad, Explorers and Movenpick. A lot of prople seem to use these hotels and ask questions about them. Just a thought!

Great idea - I'm one of the 'prople' ;) who ask loads of questions before I decide

I know that conventional wisdom states that nobody reads stickies, but I think that there is merit in one for hotels, one for transportation etc as they seem to be the most common questions.

(says the expert who has been around for all of two weeks!)

Great idea. Any volunteers want to take on any of these hotels?

I could do one on the Explorers after my trip in October if no-one beats me to it since it's so far away :rotfl: (can you tell patience isn't a virtue of mine !!)

I could do the Holiday Inn as I have been there twice already with a potential 2 further visits this year (although we may need the Explorers for the 6 bedded rooms)

Nice of you to offer, thanks :)

Great. As with the post to Steve if you start a thread similar to the others in the hotel faq then we'll put a link in :)

Hi
I have just looked at the other hotels in the FAQ thread and it all seems a bit beyond my capabilities...I can certainly provide information and personal experiences but I am not very good with the photo / animation type things. I will certainly give it a go, but will probably need some help from someone a bit more techy to jazz it up a bit!

I'm sure everyone will chip in to help. If I get stuck then I head over to the technical board as they guys and gals there are a great help :goodvibes

Just thought I'd let everyone know I've had a look at the Hotel FAQs and I there is a kind of template to these. So anyone who is happy to provide information but is a bit wary of all the graphics and links, then I can help you put in graphics, photographs so that you'll have the final piece.
Mind you I think you might be plesantly surprises that it is not to difficult :)
