Changes to ressie when using a code??

Okay I booked our December trip using a discount code that is now expired. At the time I had to book a preferred view room as that was all that was available, but now I am wondering if maybe I could see if a standard room is available. Mostly because I want to add on another night and am trying to stick with my budget (I tend to spend way more than what I intend on Disney) So is this possible or is it too late because my discount has expired
