Changes to reservation past book by date

I have a pin code that needs to be booked by Dec. 31. If I make a reservation and have to change dates/hotel after the 31st, will I still be given the code rate?

I am being treated for a serious medical condition that requires me to stay flexible.

I have read many threads of people being able to modify PIN reservations after the offer ended. Sometimes it means speaking with a supervisor instead of a front line CM when you call. There are no guarantees, of course, and it always depends of availability and the dates the PIN was originally valid for, but if you are booking a room only reservation, you really have nothing to lose as you can cancel with very little notice and have no financial penalty so long as you're more than five days out.

I booked a BB this summer and was told I could change it anytime and still get the deal as long as it was available and within the promotion dates. I am thinking of calling to move my dates a little so I'll post back if I do it.
