Hi, we are heading to DLR next week and I'm trying to wrap my head around all the new things and procedures since we went last year in october. If you could help me out and fill in any gaps, or give me tips, etc., I'd so appreciate it. I've tried to read all the posts on everything, but I still feel like I don't have it under control. Thanks!

F - fb now - get it early am. What is the better colored section? or does it matter?

Jedi Training Academy - you now get a fb for child near Star Tours fb machine?

Parade - Paint the Night. Good place to watch is by IASW for first parade and Main Street for 2nd parade if any.

Fireworks - I thought I read somewhere that it snows after the fireworks? Is that true?

What is the Avengers things? m&g? Where is it in tomorrow land?

Halloween Carnival gone - boo :(

At CAP:
The Frozen sing along is in the old muppets place. Where is the Ana & Elsa m&g? Do you still need to get fb for that early?

The Star Wars M&G for Disney visa card holders is still not set up right?
Is the Stitch one still at CAP?

See Alladin as it is the last few months.

Didn't they move the Alladin, Jasmine, etc. meet and greet area also?

Anything else I need to be aware of? I wish I would have been taking notes as I read everything these past couple months as now I can't remember anything, nor find what I'm looking for fast :) haha

Thanks so much! So super excited. Surprising dd8 once again!! wahoo

Sorry my acronyms are a little bit different from yours...
Yes. you need a Fast pass (FP) for F!. Either section is fine...just get there early for a good spot in that section.

There was a report that they were testing using a sign up sheet for JTA. That may not be the case next week. You may want to head that way and see if there is a CM there for sign ups. if not, there is an information kiosk right there. I would ask them if they know if sign ups are available, or if it will be at random.

For PTN, I think you really only need to see that at one location. It is the Disneyland Forever Fireworks people talk about seeing at different locations.

If you are located by IASW, it snows during the Frozen part.

Thor and Capt America do a M&G under the old People Mover queue, next to the hat store.

At Disney California Adventure (DCA):

The A&E M&G is located in the Animation Academy building. The FP can be picked up outside of the AA building.

They have not announced when the SW M&G will begin (I wish they would start next week). They still have the M&G at DCA for cardholders. Seems like they rotate between Minnie, Daisy and Stitch these days.

Aladdin and Jasmine are usually found outside Aladdin's Oasis in DL.

Have fun! I am hoping the crowds aren't too bad next week, but I am not counting on it. It will be a great time though!

We were able to watch the fireworks from 3 different spots: the F! Viewing area, the hub in front of the castle, and on Main Street. I loved the view from Main Street! The projections look better on the buildings than the castle, and we actually saw the 'snow' (it looked like soap flakes!!) From there. It was pretty easy to duck under the ropes and grab a spot. Fair warning - the area gets all jammed up during the parade and since they've got it going one way only, you have to choose your path wisely. We caught the parade once from Town Square and only saw it in passing the other times. And that song is STILL IN MY HEAD! Worse than Small World!

Girimama33, why are you worried that the crowds will be bad next week? Is it because of the Halloween stuff? Hopefully it's not too bad because we'll be there!

The hours are extended on Wed and Thurs...a lot of hotels are sold out and it is the first Halloween Party weekend. I find a lot of guests come during this time in order to miss going to Gay Days. I hope it isn't bad, but if it is...I will manage to have a fantastic time.

We plan on doing Sunday through Wednesday so hopefully we can get decent crowds on Monday and Tuesday. We're only doing Sunday because hubby insists on seeing F! and I got a 4-day park hopper because it was only $45 more total so we'll do Wednesday morning before heading out. I too plan on having a fantastic time!

Starting a trip in the parks on Sunday is my favorite!
It gives us the opportunity to catch the entertainment that doesn't happen through the week.
Plus Sunday evening seems to thin out.... The locals have seen it all and leave early, they have work the next day...

I sure hope Disney continues to have the sign-up for Jedi Academy. This way kids know whether or not they'll be participating.
I always feel so bad when you see the little ones crushed when the Master doesn't pick them.

If you plan to see the Frozen show at the Princess Fantasy Fair in Disneyland you need to get a FP for it. The Kiosk for the FP is outside the Princess area. A CM there should be able to tell you what show time the FP are currently good for. You do also need a FP to meet Anna and Elsa in DCA, but you don't really need one to see the Frozen Sing-A-Long show. Enjoy your trip.
