Has anyone else gotten a letter from WDW about changes in the Tower Club? We have reservations for late Oct. and yesterday got a letter saying the Tower Club was now going to be called the Atrium Club and it also said we would be on the 10th floor. I wonder if this is because of rennovations on the 12th floor or if they are relocating the Club for good. Anyone have any info?

We will be there in less than 2 weeks. I didn't receive a letter, but emailed the IPO at the Contemporary, and was told that we would be staying on the 10th floor, and that the lounge would also be on the 10th floor.

12th floor concierge is now called "The Atrium Club" 14th floor is called "The Tower Club." At the end of August 12/Atrium Club concierge will move to the 10th floor. The 12th floor will be down until January 2006. There will be a new lounge opening like 14 with fireworks viewing! There will also be food in the evening as far as we are being told. This probably means a price increase:) The new rooms are very nice.

Thanks :) Looks like we'll miss out on the new rooms this trip, but I'm planning on coming back to the CR Atrium level in for Columbus Day weekend in '06. I think my kids would have a fit if I booked any other resort!

Maybe that is the reason for the $80 price increase in 2006 for the 12th floor concierge. The 14th floor concierge went up $20 and regular Tower rooms went up $10.

If the price for the 12th floor goes up and they have the 12 fl with evening snacks...what would then be the difference between the 14th anf the 12th floor?

Good Question!

This year there was a $90 difference between 12 & 14th floors. Now it is a $50 difference.

Just FYI: As of July, Sugar Loaf Concierge at the GF (which was limited service like the 12th Floor CR) is now full service with alcohol, cordials/desserts, late night food offerings, and extended hours. Looks like Disney is updating all the Concierge to be full service now! SL did not have a big price increase for 2006. There is still about $150 between SL and RPC.
