I have to agree with that. Those middle towers are ugly, and just get in the way. I remember when they were clad in the silver and red all the way to the bottom, and that looked quite smart, but then they took the bottom bit off and it wasn't an improvement!
Only 2 posts and (apparently 15 days) to go now Di!!!
Just found this thread on the MiceAge forum - I'm afraid it looks like some of the Stars have gone already But on a positive note, the picture on the second page shows what an improvement the removal of just a few of the towers has made!!
It certainly looks easier to walk around now!! Cant wait to view it when we have our little 2 day trip. Arriving on 6th, we will be there for the bonfire bash on 7th so at least there will be more room inside village on this oh so pushy-shovey-squashy ocassion!!
To be honest, my experience was that when the bonfire event was over the weekend (as it is on the 5th this year) it was really chocca with local groups as well as us Disneyites. Not so sure about the 7th when we will be there as its a Monday. But as its DLP I always carry a spare pair of sharpened elbows and some size 10 shoes (im only a 6 really) to ensure my place in the queue isnt surpassed by groups of teenagers trying to get in as many rides as they can during their visit (have not objection to this but not at the expense of my kids thank you very much!!)
Yes some of the towers near Annettes are down, but the concrete bases are still there so it doens't make the walk anyeasier in the corwds! The stars are still there at the top end, but not sure if they were lit, we were only in the village once at night on this trip and I can't remember!
