Heading back for Veteran's Day weekend and staying at HRH. Have a few questions before we go. Last trip was pre DA and we stayed at RPR so mostly want to confirm my understanding of recent changes...

Early entry is now at US instead of IOA? 1 hour before park opening? Is that every day or just on certain days? What time to leave HRH to walk over to gate for EE? Shortest route?

FOL is good for everything except FJ, EFG and HE? Anything else exempted from FOL?

We need to eat something small before heading over to the parks because we need to take our Dramamine 1 hour before riding and don't want to take it without food - suggestions for a quick bite before park opening? Not a sit down breakfast... Is there something like a coffee cart with pastries and fruit? If there's nothing quick at the hotel or along the way to the gate, I'll buy bagels or muffins and some fruit the night before...

Going to buy APs since we plan to visit again early next year, should I order online or buy them at the gate the afternoon we arrive? Is there a discount for buying online when it comes to APs? Any discount sites offering APs?

TIA for your help!

Yes, early admission at Universal right now only, not IOA. EA is one hour earlier than posted time. I'd aim to be there at least 3/4 hour early. Gates usually open 15 minutes earlier than expected. So, if EA starts at 8, I'd be there for 7:15, leaving the hotel shortly after 7.

Express is not good for Gringotts, Forbidden Journey, Hogwarts Express and Pteranodon Flyers.

You can grab a snack at Emack and Bolios down in the lowest level of HRH before you head out the door near the pool. They have quick breakfast type items.

I'd order my APs online and do kiosk pickup. Kiosks are in the hotel lobbies and front of the parks. It will save you lots of time waiting in line at the ticket booths if you do this.

Just to add there are carts right at the front of the parks with snacks such as churros and fruit cups. We usually do a grocery stop on way to hotel for shelf stable breakfast items like tea biscuits, bagels and jelly, bananas, apples, protein bars, juice boxes, raisins, oatmeal in cups (just add hot wAter from keurig), applesauce, etc for early morning and late nite noshing.

But I will say room service at HRH is worth every penny! Great stuff! And to save money, instead of each kid ordering an individual one scoop cup, order a 3-4 scoop sundae for all to split. CheAper and get more toppings

Hope this helps

There are carts in Diagon that are open with fruit cups and such during early admission..

Sure but I thought she said that she needed to take dramamine 1 hour before going on rides.

She did! We do! We're stopping for sunblock and water on the way from the airport so I'll be sure to grab some light snacks that we can have with our Dramamine before we leave the hotel.

Can't wait to be there in the warm FL sun. We have all been sick this past weekend with a terrible cold so I'm pretty miserable right now but better this week than next!

Do you have to have park to park passes to ride the Hogwarts express?

Yes. We ended up buying APs because we plan to return a few times next year.

Sorry - thought you asked if WE had p2p passes... Was wondering how macraven knew the answer, lol.
