Changes coming for disabled guests

There has been a bit of confusion on this because many have titled it along the lines of "No more" "Going away" etc.

I say kudos to Disney for bringing in the changes. From those who have been posting in response on the main boards on here, and on other forums, most with disabilities are in favor of the change in the way the system operates. I think this is great because it means that the new system will weed out the chancers and cheats so that it isn't ruined for the people who so desperately need it. I'm hoping this is hugely successful, both for Disney's sake, and especially for those with genuine disabilities

Cool, thanks for posting it here as we need a GAC for my son. Always nice to know about important changes and what they mean for us. We don't need "special privileges" as it were anyway. My son has no concept of emotion or personal space so to stand in a queue for ages would aggravate that as other children would (quite rightly) be getting excited around him. We would have only required somewhere to wait. I'm surprised they don't have special waiting areas to be honest as have seen LOADS of posts on various forums from disabled users saying they never wanted to be treated like royalty, just a quiet space to wait. Although, having said that, you could then end up with a mass of disabled people waiting in one area and people without disabilities waiting somewhere else which could appear discriminatory at the busiest times.

I agree that too many people play on disabilities if they think they can get something for nothing. Quite sad really. I mean, I have neurological disabilities and my son has Autism. Technically, we would be able to get a pass each but I can function 90% until approx 9 or 10pm so why take something I don't need?? IF YOU DON'T NEED IT, DON'T TAKE IT!! Sorry for the rant but it always annoys me how people can be SO SELFISH!! :( It's wrong and it's unfair to all the other people who have paid good money for the same experience.
