Disneyland will be in very good hands. Thanks Matt for all you have done! You showed a lot of class last year with the whole Norwalk issue. You and your staff made DCL what it is today. Thanks!

Will definately have to head out in a year or so and check out Disneyland and DCA again!

I don't know whether to dance in delightful recognition of Matt's promotion or brood on the sidelines in abject acceptance of DCL's loss.

Matt was "at the helm," so to speak, for three major acts of compassion all in a one-year timeframe: Liz, Nate and April. And I'm sure there are countless other deeds unknown to anyone save the Disney corporate elite.

May Matt's successor be of the same "rib" of human kindness...

Cynthia Harriss gone - Hip Hip Hooray - "ding dong the wicked ...." oops - better not go there! Maybe Matt can bring some of the Magic back to the ORIGINAL Magic Kingdom. DCL over the past several years has represented what Disney of old represented: a magical experience. Hopefully he won't be bound by short term and short sighted budgets and turn Disneyland and DCA back into Theme Parks as opposed to Themed Shopping Malls.

Matt, you'll be missed here at DCL. We hope that you have a hand in choosing your successor here at DCL and that they can fill the big shoes you are leaving behind.

Now get working with Imagineering so that Disneyland can have a 50th birthday party to be proud of.

Matt, you've done a wonderful job at DCL. I'm a person who SWORE I'd never cruise. Dh "forced" me to do a Disney cruise in May. I did one in September. I'm doing one in November. I'll be back next May. And then the 10 day in Dec 2004. I can't get enough (obviously!) It's truly a magical experience!!!

Now, back to the matters at hand...who will take Matt's place? (sorry if it's in the article, I didn't read it).....

Mr. Ouimet is a class act. Disneyland is very lucky to have him heading its way. I am sure we will be seeing Disneyland brought back to what it once was. And I am also sure that Mr. Holz will continue in the fine DCL tradition.

I echo the sentiments here. Matt and DCL have been wonderful to me and I wish him the best in his new appointment.

Yes, his successor has a hard act to follow however I think I speak for all of us here when I say that we would all be more than happy to help, especially if called us to a meeting on either ship, all expenses paid (OK, can't I dream a bit-LOL).

Matt's proactive and very visible way of handling the Norwalk thing has endeared him into to hearts of many disneyphiles. I wish him the best of luck in his new career and wish Karl Holz the very best. He has a tough act to follow! Just don't let Matt take these ships to California!
