We were there during Spring Break (3/31-4/5). DD & I were going to get our hair done and get pixie dust put into it. When we were there in Oct 04, DD got her hair french braided and the pixie dust put in.

Well this time, when we got there they said they no longer style hair because they are a Barber shop. They can cut and do pixie dust or just do pixie dust, but they can not do up do's.

Needless to say, DD & I did not get our hair done. The barber told us it had just come down the week before. While we were there, there were two older couples and one gentleman was talking about getting Mickey etched in his hair. The barber said they are not allowed to do that. The two couples kept insisting that one of their son's had had it done in Oct. The barber tried to get the name of the person who had done it. But when the couple called their son, he didn't remember who it was.

Both DD & I were disappointed that we couldn't get our hair done.

I've never known the Harmony Barber Shop to do women's hair EXCEPT for french braids. I didn't think they did any other women's styles.

As for "etching MM" in someone's hair, it's my understanding that they can do it with pixie dust, but not with actual cutting of hair.

I think someone is confused....My boys got a cut an pixie dust in Dec....Alos got the Mickey ears in the back but it was painted on not cut in....Maybe thats where they got confused.... :confused3

You still get the pixie dust and Mickey head in hair paint on the back of your head WHEN you get your hair cut...not just because. The new rule seems to be that you must get a hair cut in order to get the extras. I got pixie dust in my hair too after DH got his cut last May. I think that is because we had a nice conversation with the barber and he did it as a nice surprise. It really surprised me when he walked over and just doused my head with some....it made my day and I shook it out of my head that night and saved it in a baggy.

My son got the pixie dust and mickey head when we went last October and he did not get his hair cut. It is a shame because there was a little girl in there at the same time getting her hair done for the Halloween party. I thought it was great.

The barber told us that we could get the pixie dust and the Mickey painted on our hair, but they could not do french braids anymore. They can't "style" womens hair at all.

The gentlman that was asking about the mickey cut into his hair actually called and talked to his son, who had it done and verified that it was "cut" into his hair and not just painted on. I know I have never seen someone with it cut into their hair and was surprised to hear that someone had done this.

I just wanted to get mine done the same as my daughter had gotten hers done in Oct, which was two french braids. It was really neat to see.

Oh Well!!!

My son got his hair cut and a blue painted mickey head w/pixie dust back in Nov on our trip - we save a hair cut for there every vacation -
It is ashame they can't do french braids for little girls at least -they deserve the magic as well.
