Changes at Liberty Tree Tavern

I heard the Diamond Horseshoe is the same menu and same kitchen. I wonder if they have changed to ham too. Also is one better than the other? I never hear people talk about the Horseshoe?

Horseshoe is the same exact menu - it just doesn't have the old-timey colonial theming and outfits.

Way back when, it used to be an Old West style stage show with dancing saloon girls and such...then it was briefly its own BBQ focused buffet restaurant. Post-pandemic, it became overflow seating for Liberty Tree and started sharing the same menu ever since.

I also agree ham is a downgrade from roast pork. I'm OK with ham in general, but would be disappointed to go to Liberty Tree and get ham instead of pork, if pork was still listed on the menu. The pork also works well with the gravy that also goes on the turkey and potato - but I wouldn't put gravy on ham.

Personally not a big fan of ham steak like that - but my bigger problem is if the menu is still describing roast pork and instead serves ham. Next time I'm there, I will specifically request not to have ham on my plate - if they no longer offer roast pork, I'll just go with all the other meats. Just no interest in the ham with this meal.

It shouldn’t. The ham wasn’t good :(
Well that sucks. However, I don’t like pork loin at all. So without trying the ham (yet), I still think I’ll be happy with the change. Unless it’s a salty country ham, I don’t think I could be all that disappointed in a slice of ham.

Ham is a DOWNGRADE. Probably the worst move Disney did to this restaurant. Did the CMs seriously consult with Cruella to create the new menu?
The dark meat turkey lovers in my family would argue the worst downgrade was when they switched to the turkey breast only, and even then the turkey breast itself seemed to have been downgraded to a more processed like version...

So glad Disney has much better options… the buffet here is definitely a pass for me next time I’m here, I’ll stick to my Mickey shaped snacks…
