Hi, I took the advice of my fellow DISers and have changed hotels from Cheyenne to Sequoia. Disney just called me to pay the difference and it was only £58.02 extra for the 3 of us in a Montana room. I can't tell you how excited I am. 27 more days to wait, glad November only has 30 days!
Thanks to everyone for their tips and advice.

Good decision Tia! I'm sure the Cheyenne is great fun, but Sequoia Lodge is lovely, especially in the winter. And if it's cold, staying in a Montana room will be a big plus!!

We loved the Cheyenne, nothing wrong with it at all. Sequoia is one that we've never stayed in before.... I want to try them all, especially Disneyland Hotel. I'm saving that one for a really special occasion! What I really mean is when I can afford it!!

We've never stayed there, but DH really wants to stay in the Cheyenne. Had a walk round there one day and it does look great!! I would love to stay at the Disneyland Hotel one day, but do worry that once I'd experienced it, I wouldn't enjoy the other hotels as much as I had done.

I really liked the Cheyenne too when we went, but I wouldn't fancy it in the Winter. Would be nice not to have to go outside to get your brekkie! I think it's definitely a good choice to change to the Sequoia Lodge, especially with how cheap it was to upgrade! :)

Brilliant news Tia :goodvibes

I too would like to stay at all the hotels there, unfortunately as there are 5 of us it will have to wait until it is just DH and I. :)

Scary, that room would be great at Halloween! Have a brilliant time at Sequoia Lodge, I stayed there back in 1996, my first time at a Disney hotel and LOVED it!!

Same for us. Glad we managed Cheyenne when DD was infant.

Sequoia is really nice inside. (just looks like a travel lodge out side :p )

The beaver creak tavern is a favourite restraunt of mine. (General Shermans burger)

Sequoia is perfect for this time of year.

Tia, what happened there then? Come on, tell us all!

As soon as the receptionist said "you are in room 1666" we all looked at each other but said nothing!

Room 1666 !!! It was December, it was freezing but the room was warm when we returned to it every evening. We went to bed at night, me in the double, DS and DD in the bunks.

We kept hearing banging noises, in the middle of the night, coming from next door, so all 3 of us huddled into one bed. We were scared but excited and giggling. We could feel a cold draught too, so we checked the window... closed! In the morning we were hoping to see who was in the room next to us, but to our horror we saw that it was just a storage cupboard.... arghhhhhh.

I especially booked the Cheyenne for the bunk beds, but we never used them. We all slept together in the double. All 3 of us felt scared, but it was so much fun being scared, we laughed a lot. I think Disney would only have friendly ghosts!!

If anyone is going next halloween, definately try to get room 1666.

Sorry if I am being really really thick but is there some significance to the number 1666? :confused3

I don't think you've watched those awful films about the Devil's son [made in the 80's I think], Damien. I'm getting the creeps just writing about it. Can't remember what the films were called. 666 was on the childs scalp, it's meant to be the sign of the Devil. ohhhhh.. I'm scared now!

Oh of course! The Omen! :rotfl2: Excuse me for having a senior moment! :rolleyes2 Yes I did watch them all, mainly from between my fingers. :rotfl2: I cannot look at a Rottweiler now without thinking of that cemetary scene (no offence meant to any Rotties out there :pug: ) The other film I remember seeing at about the same time was Halloween. That really scared me, I used to check under my bed every night for months after watching that! I won't watch any horror films now, too much of a scaredy-cat. :rotfl:
