We flew from Gatwick on Xmas day 2006. Queues were really long as there didn't seem to be as many check in staff on as usual and the shops and facilities open at the Gatwick end were very limited indeed. Everything else was very much the same as usual. There was no difference on the flight or at at MCO

We flew Xmas day 2005 from Gatwick, 1st and last time from Gatwick. Never seen lines like them, it was like being at Disney DW won't fly from London again after that experience then last year missing the flight to LA from Heathrow. We will stick to Northern airports in future if at all possible.
