Changed Hilton Buena Vista Palace Booking: will this affect my FP?

I originally booked HBVP, bought my Disney ticket, linked it in MDE and made my fast pass selections.

I realized today that I had enough honors points to cover my stay so I made a new booking with points.

I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my selections, but obviously need to link the new booking somehow before cancelling the old one. Any suggestions?

Link Reservation #2 then Cancel #1. Your FPs remain intact

You can have more than one active reservation in MDE. Go ahead and appear to be staying in two places on the same night; MDE doesn't care.
Once your points reservation is linked, it's safe to cancel the cash booking.
