Changed before it got started...Character FP

So many glitches....so much wasted time...don't you agree...

For all the huge changes in how we get FP from last year to now, is this new system that much better? It has some mild advantages to some guests I would concede, but was that worth all this change?

I can only hope for Disney's sake it pays off in some huge way in increased sales or attendance or occupancy rates or something. I think the average guest isn't that much better off. You don't get that much more, and it's a much more complex system.

FP+ isn't for the guest, it's for the company.

The data they are able to mine is tough to put a value on.
Huge investment for sure, but easily worth it for them.


And, I'm a FP+ supporter for what it's worth.

I think that's the very reason why we're going to see them floating the idea of FP+ for things we normally wouldn't consider (like character meets, lunch at BOG, etc.) It is a great way to gather data and provide some additional perceived value to the guest.

But they're going to make mistakes like this along the way. Clearly guest reaction to the idea of not even being able to choose to wait in order to meet a character was extremely negative. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets tweaked in some form.

Totally agree. It had better pay off otherwise we will be footing the bill in one way or another.

The problem is not that we are not much better off as much it is that too many of us know it ;)
 
Like someone else had said in another thread... what do you tell your 5 year old that even though Pooh & Eeyore are right there and there is no line we can't go meet them because we don't have a fast pass for that.

Dumb stupid idea. STUpid.
